Session check-in and check-out with location
Teachers tap Check in when a class starts and Check out when it ends. Owners and branch managers see a log with times, duration and, when GPS is on, a Google Maps pin for the check-in and check-out. Owners get a push alert if a teacher is 15 or more minutes late or never checked in. Location is optional evidence: a denied location never blocks the teacher. This feature is switched on per centre by TuitionDesk, so ask us to enable it. See session check-in help.
Online and offline classes together
Schedule each session as online or offline. Online sessions get a Google Meet link through Google Calendar, see online tuition with TuitionDesk. Offline sessions use check-in logs as proof of attendance by the teacher, and attendance for students.

A "teacher manager" in practice
TuitionDesk does not have a separate Teacher Manager role today. Owners and branch managers fill that job: they add teachers, assign classes, review check-in logs, daily teacher attendance, leave requests (Growth and above) and salary records. A dedicated role is a feature request we can log.

Can I pay teachers per session, fixed monthly, full time or part time?
Yes. Each teacher profile has an employment type (Full Time, Part Time, Contract or Freelance) and a salary type (Fixed Monthly, Per Session, Per Student per Month or Weekly Retainer). Per-session rates can be used to generate salary records from the sessions taught.
Can teachers check in and check out of classes with location?
TuitionDesk has teacher session check-in and check-out, with optional soft GPS location recorded on check-in and out. The location is evidence only; denying location permission never blocks check-in. The feature is enabled per centre by TuitionDesk, so ask us to switch it on.
Does it handle both online and offline classes?
Yes. Each session can be online with an auto-created Google Meet link, or offline at a centre or student's location, and attendance is tracked either way.
Is TuitionDesk a tutor marketplace?
No. TuitionDesk is management software for tutoring businesses. It does not find tutors for parents or take commission.
