Branch admins and DIY permissions
Give a trusted person access to one branch without handing over the whole academy — pick a role, then tweak.
Add a branch admin
- Open Branches (Settings or People → Branch admins).
- Open the branch → Add branch admin.
- Enter their email. If they already have an account they are added; otherwise TuitionDesk emails an invite to sign up.
Give permissions the easy way
Instead of ticking ~40 boxes from scratch, choose a ready-made role:
- Front desk — students, attendance, basic reports
- Fees manager — view students and collect / update fees
- Class operations — classes, attendance, syllabus / teaching plans
- Full branch ops — nearly everything allowed on your plan for that branch
- View only — read students, fees, attendance, reports
- Custom — start empty or fine-tune after a preset
Permissions are grouped by module (Students, Fees, Attendance…). Use All / Clear per group, or Select all / Clear all.
Limits and multi-branch
- Free/Starter: 2 admins per branch · Growth/Pro: 3 · Enterprise: unlimited
- Only the organisation owner can add or edit branch admins
- When you have more than one branch, the branch selector appears in the app (including Pro) so staff stay scoped to the right location
- Switching branch refreshes lists (students, classes, teachers, fee plans, admissions, sessions). Classes, sessions, and fee plans are strict to that branch. Students/teachers with no class yet still appear so you can assign them. Admissions/enquiries show only that branch’s leads (use All branches for centre-wide / unassigned leads).
- Staff alerts for a branch (new enquiry, demo class, announcement, parent leave, PTM requests, absence streaks, day-14 fee escalate) go to the owner and that branch’s admins — not every teacher or parent on other branches
- On Attendance, parent leave notices are scoped to your branch; use Ack & mark absent so the parent gets confirmation and attendance is written for past/today class days
