Teacher session check-in / check-out
Teachers tap Check in when they actually start a scheduled class, and Check out when they finish. Owners and branch admins see logs and get push alerts if check-in is delayed or missed.
Enable the feature
- Admin → Plans → turn on Teacher session check-in / check-out (
sessionCheckIn) for the centre’s plan. - Optional: turn on Teacher session GPS location (
sessionCheckInGps) to record soft GPS on check-in/out (Android app, TuitionDesk Lite, or browser). Denied location never blocks check-in. - Hard-refresh the centre app so features reload.
For teachers
- Open Sessions (calendar day sheet or list view).
- On today’s class, tap Check in when the class starts, then Check out when it ends.
- If GPS is enabled on the plan, the app may ask for location once — optional evidence only.
For owners
- Teacher Attendance → Daily attendance — tap status cards (Present / Absent / Late / …) to filter the list below. Tap again or All to reset.
- Teacher Attendance → Session check-in logs — worklog: who checked in/out, duration, and GPS in/out when the GPS plan feature is on. Tap cards like Still in class or Checked in & out to filter. On phones the list opens in Grid (cards) by default so you can see teacher, class, times, duration, and Maps chips without sideways scrolling; switch to Table on larger screens if you prefer. Class (batch) is the class name; Session scheduled is that day’s date and timetable slot. Use Open in Sessions → to jump to that class on Sessions.
- GPS In/Out location shows a small map pin + Maps chip — tap it to open that pin in Google Maps (free). On the Android app it opens the Maps app when installed; on web it opens maps in a new tab. Plain “—” means no GPS was recorded for that check-in or check-out.
- On Sessions, after check-in you see In 4:05 PM next to Check out; after check-out you see In … · Out … (not just “Timed”).
- Push alert if a teacher is late (15+ minutes after start) or never checked in (after class end).
