Owners and teachers get a Needs you feed — the same read/unread idea as the parent portal Updates tab, but only for work that needs a staff action.
Teachers only see items for their students/classes. Branch context on Home filters the feed the same way as other lists.
Unread items show a amber dot. Tap an item to open the right page (Attendance, PTM, Homework, Admissions) and mark it read. Resolved work (leave acknowledged, homework reviewed, attendance marked) drops off the feed automatically.
This is not a copy of parent Updates (fees due, class cancelled, etc.) — those are events you already create. Needs you is the inbox for parent-originated and ops gaps.
