Announcements

Broadcast a message to the right people: parents, teachers, or both. Scope it to the whole centre, the current branch, or specific classes. Growth plan and above; enable the Announcements module under Centre features if needed.

How to send

1. Open Activity → Announcements.
2. Click New Announcement.
3. Enter a title and message.
4. Choose Send to: Parents (default), Teachers, or Parents & teachers.
5. Choose Scope: Whole centre, This branch (use the branch selector in the header), or Specific classes (tick one or more classes).
6. Pick channels (Email; WhatsApp if enabled on your plan and in Settings).
7. Click Send.

Who receives what

• Parents — email/WhatsApp to parent contacts for students in scope; also appear in the parent app Updates feed and get app push when devices are registered.
• Teachers — email/WhatsApp to teachers for classes in scope (or all active teachers for whole-centre). App push when the teacher has logged into the app.
• Parents & teachers — both audiences for the same scope.
• Teachers-only announcements do not appear in the parent portal.

Tips

• Use Specific classes for exam reminders or one-class holiday notices.
• Use Teachers for staff-only ops notes (room change, meeting time).
• Past announcements list shows audience and scope; search filters by title or message.
