TuitionDesk Plans Explained: Free, Starter, Growth, Pro & Enterprise
Plain-English TuitionDesk pricing — Teacher Portal from Starter, Parent Portal from Growth, and what each plan really includes.
Choosing software for your tuition centre feels complicated. It does not have to be. This guide walks through every TuitionDesk plan in plain language — using the live plan configuration, not marketing fluff.

Remember this first: Teacher Portal starts on Starter. Parent Portal starts on Growth. Free has neither. WhatsApp notifications are available on every plan (Free through Enterprise) once you enable them in Settings — you still need WhatsApp credits / provider setup.
Free Plan — ₹0
Who it's for: Individual tutors, home tutors, and tiny centres getting started.
What you get
- Up to 30 students, 1 teacher, 2 batches (student cap is hard)
- Fee plans, fee generation, fee alerts, and flexible payment recording
- Basic session scheduling and attendance for your classes
- Simple student profiles and custom IDs

What you don't get
- No Teacher Portal — teachers cannot log in separately on Free
- No Parent Portal — parents cannot self-serve fees/attendance
- No admissions CRM, no PDF receipts, no public centre website, no AI setup wizard
Free never expires. If 30 students is enough, you can stay here. Upgrade when you need a teacher login or parent self-serve — not because a timer forces you.
Real example
Ravi tutors 18 students from home in Chennai. He records fees and attendance himself on Free. When he hires a second teacher, he moves to Starter so that teacher can log in without sharing Ravi’s password.
Starter Plan — ₹499/month
Who it's for: Small centres ready to collaborate with teachers without sharing the owner login.
The headline feature: Teacher Portal
On Starter, your teacher gets their own secure login to:
- See their schedule and batches
- Mark attendance for their classes
- Take part in day-to-day class operations
You keep control of money and centre settings.

What you still don't get
- No Parent Portal (that starts on Growth)

- No homework engine, session notes library, or online assessments (those are Pro+)
Starter is the “stop sharing the owner password with teachers” plan. If parents still call you every evening about fees and attendance, you will want Growth next.
Real example
Priya’s centre in Coimbatore has 55 students and one full-time teacher. On Starter, the teacher marks attendance from her phone. Priya still handles fees herself. Parents call less about “did class happen?” because the teacher closes the loop in the app.
Growth Plan — ₹999/month ⭐ Most popular for growing centres
Who it's for: Centres focused on admissions and parent engagement.

On Growth, parents get their own login to check:

Teacher ops on Growth (beyond login)
Growth also turns on serious teacher management:
- Teacher Leave — teachers request leave; you approve/reject; everyone can get push/email alerts
- Teacher Attendance — mark teacher present/absent (including substitute notes)
- Teacher Workload — see who is overloaded before you add another batch

- AI Operations Suite (auto-substitute, morning briefing, dropout prediction) is Enterprise
If your pain is parents calling and enquiries dying in WhatsApp, Growth is usually the right jump — not Pro.

When Pro is the right upgrade
- You opened (or are opening) a second or third branch

Open the second branch after upgrading — not before. Clean branch access from day one saves months of messy data.

Who it's for: Large coaching institutes, academy chains, and organisations that want AI Operations, not just software screens.

Which plan should you pick?
Stay on Free if: you are solo, under 30 students, and you alone touch the app.
Choose Starter if: you hired (or will hire) a teacher and need a Teacher Portal without sharing your login.
Choose Growth if: parents keep calling about fees/attendance, you need Parent Portal, admissions CRM, or teacher leave/attendance discipline.
Choose Pro if: you have multiple branches, or you need homework, assessments, session notes, and online payments as core product.
Choose Enterprise if: you need AI ops — auto-substitution, briefings, forecasts — and chain-scale support.
Common questions
Can teachers log in on Free?
No. Teacher Portal starts on Starter.
Can parents log in on Starter?
No. Parent Portal starts on Growth.
Is WhatsApp only on Growth or paid plans?
No. WhatsApp notifications are available on all plans (Free through Enterprise). Enable them under Settings and keep WhatsApp credits topped up. Parent Portal and Teacher Portal remain plan-gated separately.
Do I lose data if I downgrade?
No. Data stays. Features above your plan become unavailable until you upgrade again (for example, Parent Portal access pauses if you drop below Growth).
Is Free really free forever?
Yes — within the Free limits. No forced card on file.
Does pricing work outside India?
Yes. Multi-currency support is available; INR figures above are for India. Contact us for your currency.
